4 Night Package Day by Day
Day 1
Arrive St Lucia KwaZulu Natal - Late Afternoon Hippo Boat Cruise
Arriving in St Lucia for the first time is always such a pleasant experience especially should you have already witnessed the Hippos on the bridge as you enter the town.
Once you have been checked in and orientated yourself you will be off on your first adventure a Late Afternoon Sunset Hippo Boat Cruise. This 2 Hour long cruise takes place on one of the Shoreline Hippo Vessels. With a limited seating of only 15 passengers you are assured of exclusivity and firsthand knowledge from your Skipper / Guide.
This estuary is unique as it is home to one of the largest free-roaming Hippo populations in Southern Africa, it is estimated that 800 Hippos reside here additionally 1200 Nile Crocodiles and ofcourse an abundance of Bird Life may be witnessed while out on one these trips.
Sit back and enjoy your first African Sunset in South Africa's very first world heritage site the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
Day 2
Full-Day Big 5 Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park Safari
It's an early departure 05:00 am directly from At Heritage House. Not to worry all of our Open Game Drive Safari Vehicles do have roll-down sides and hard tops so maybe enjoy a bit of shuteye. All vehicles do have extra blankets however we would ask that you do bring a jacket along please. Drive time is approx 45 minutes.
Once at the Nyalazi Gate (the southern gate of the park) your ranger for the day will open up the vehicle and offer you a brief safety briefing and then you are off into what has to be one of the best parks within Africa the Hluhluwe Imfolozi park. This 96000 hectare reserve is rich in History and is home to the Official Big 5 (Both species of Black and White Rhinos may be witnessed).
With rolling hills, loop roads, hides, open grasslands and of course magnificent wildlife you are in for a true authentic African Safari.
All meals (Breakfast and a traditional South African Braai-BBQ) will be enjoyed with the park. Additional coolers with bottled waters are on hand during the course of the day.
All of our dedicated rangers have years of experience within this specific park and they will undoubtedly offer you amazing wildlife facts and show you amazing areas within the reserve.After Lunch you will slowly start heading back towards the entrance gate and then head back to St Lucia.

Day 3
iSimangaliso Wetland Park Full-Day Tour & Sunset or Night Drive Safari
After a hearty breakfast your ranger will be ready for you at the entrance to set off once again into South Africa's very first world heritage site the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. This tour will be conducted into the Eastern shores of the park as this side offers you both the Bush, Wildlife and the Indian Ocean.
Travel through this impressive landscape spotting various wildlife and learn why this park has received world heritage status. You will travel in a Northerly direction towards Cape Vidal. This park is a Big 4 Park unfortunately no Lions are present this reserve. Both Black and White Rhinos, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephants are present in this park.
Upon arriving at Cape Vidal you will also have the opportunity to enjoy some snorkeling in the bay (weather permitting). Mask and Snorkel is provided.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the picnic spots at Cape Vidal.
You may decide if you would like to enjoy either a Sunset Safari or a Night Drive this evening, we would personally recommend a Night Drive as this is an amazing experience that may also include witnessing the Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Hippos and many other species.
Day 4
Cheetah Rehabilitation Center & Zulu Culture
After breakfast you will be heading off towards Hluhluwe Cheetah Rahabilitation Center this tour includes some fascinating information and close-up sightings of various wildlife at the center.
Understand the importance of rehabilitation and how this impacts the various wildlife released back into nature.
Late afternoon you will enjoy a traditional Zulu village where you will learn some amazing and interesting facts about Zulu Culture and Customs. You might even get a chance to enjoy some Zulu Dancing.
Day 5
Departure Day
Enjoy a lovely breakfast on our patio and then maybe some last-minute shopping in our village before we say Bon Voyage.
Should you have opted for the Transfers to and from Durban then your driver will be ready for you at the entrance to the Bed and Breakfast. All Transfers are conducted in air-conditioned vehicles either SUV or Mini Bus.
